Face the infernal hordes in Diablo IV’s newest update

Entertainment unveiled a major update for Diablo IV: Season of the Infernal Hordes. This update brings a host of new gameplay elements and , including a wave-based mode named Infernal Hordes.

Enter the infernal horde mode

In the Infernal Hordes mode, you will battle endless waves of demonic foes, each lasting a minute. This mode is available in both Seasonal and Eternal realms and becomes accessible after completing a specific questline in World Tier III.

Once you unlock this mode, you can play it solo or with friends. Between waves, you can choose “Infernal Offerings,” which boost both the difficulty and the potential rewards, allowing for diverse runs based on your skills and strategies.

At the end of each Infernal Hordes run, you will face the Fell Council, a group of corrupted priests. Defeating them will earn you Burning Aether, which you can use to unlock rewards such as summoning materials and items with a guaranteed Greater Affix.

Discover Hellbreach Dungeons

New Hellbreach Dungeons have also been added to the Seasonal Realm, offering a preview of the Infernal Hordes mode. These dungeons are filled with infernal enemies, and completing them rewards you with Burning Aether. This currency can be used to buy chests at the end of the Hellbreach Dungeon, providing additional challenges and rewards.

Unlock new items and battle pass rewards

The update also introduces over 50 new Unique and Legendary items, giving you more options for customising your character builds.

A new Battle Pass accompanies this season, featuring 90 reward tiers. Of these, 28 tiers are free, while the remaining 62 are premium. The premium tiers offer additional cosmetic items, in-game currency, and other exciting rewards.
