Gurman, a well-known tech journalist, has shared that while Apple is actively exploring the possibility of launching this larger iMac, there's no definitive information on whether it will be equipped with the upcoming M4 chipset. Although Apple is expected to release an updated version of the 24-inch iMac later this year, this larger model may not be ready for launch just yet.
Development and rumours
The first rumours about a larger iMac surfaced in early 2022 when enthusiasts began speculating about Apple's plans to expand its iMac lineup. At that time, reports indicated that Apple wasn't rushing to release this bigger model and had no immediate plans for such a device.
However, in July 2022, Gurman added fuel to the speculation by reporting that Apple was working on a larger-screened iMac aimed at the professional market.
